Adopting a rescue animal gives them a second chance and brings a loving new companion into your life.
At Tails of the Forgotten Paws, we carefully match each cat and dog with a home that suits their personality, needs and stage of life. Because our animals live with foster carers, we are able to learn about their behaviour, routines and the type of home in which they are most likely to thrive.
Browse the cats and dogs currently available for adoption below. Please read each profile carefully before submitting an enquiry, as some animals may have specific requirements relating to children, other pets, lifestyle or living environment.
How Our Adoption Process Works
Once you have found an animal who may be a suitable match, submit an adoption enquiry through their profile.
Our volunteer team and the animal’s foster carer will review suitable applications based on the individual needs of the animal.
Applications are not necessarily assessed on a first-come, first-served basis, as our priority is finding the home where each animal is most likely to be safe, happy and well cared for.
Shortlisted applicants may be contacted for a conversation and invited to meet the animal before the adoption is finalised.
Before applying, please make sure everyone in your household supports the adoption, your housing allows pets and you are prepared for the ongoing costs and commitment involved in caring for an animal.
